This animal was colour ringed as a chick in the Ebro delta.

It's in a earlier stage of the moult, only 4 primary grown, and the individual is still immature.

Ad Herring gull (L. argentatus), 19-08-06. Very worn individual. As seen in 1st winter birds, living in the south is very hard for Herring gull feathers. Before moulting they're almost destroyed. In spite P5 shows complete black bar, the rest of features (iris, legs, orbital ring and scapular color and size) do not agree with YLG and do for HG. In addition, the moult of the individual is less advanced in michahellis.
